Roasted Broccoli

Broccoli goes with just about anything as a side. Take it up a notch in flavor with fresh garlic, cayenne for a kick of heat and parmesan cheese, because let's be honest, cheese makes everything better. You won't go back to your regular old mushy broccoli and cheese after you try this.

Ingredients:

3 heads broccoli
1 Tablespoon Olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Pinch Ground Cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
Parmesan, grated

Supplies:

Knife
Cutting board
Baking sheet
Grater or micro zester

Directions:

Cut heads from broccoli and pare down to bite sized pieces. Toss in olive oil, salt and pepper, and cayenne pepper. Spread evenly over a baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes until they just start to crisp around the edges. Stir broccoli, add minced garlic, and grate parmesan cheese over top to your liking. Return to oven and broil 4 minutes until cheese is lightly crispy.

Tips:

Save yourself a step and buy pre-cut broccoli florets.
