Poppy Seed Vinaigrette

This is my all time favorite salad dressing! As long you you know the base for a vinaigrette, which is a simple base of olive oil and vinegar or acid, whisked rapidly to emulsify. Shallot has a light onion and garlic mixed flavor to balance the sweet sugar and tangy vinegar and mustard. 



Ingredients: 

1/2 cup olive oil 
3 Tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
3 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon spicy or Dijon mustard
1/4 cup shallot
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Supplies:

Blender
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons


Directions:

Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend on high until pureed and smooth. 

Tips: 

Instead of whisking and blending this vinaigrette by hand, let the blender to the work for you. With this method, you don't have to worry about a slow drizzle.
